Peony Archway

In 2024 we started a collaborative fiber art project for all who attended the festival so that they could contribute a flower to our archway that visitors pass through as they enter the festival.

In 2025, we expanded on the addition of peonies to include leaves, and our arch was pretty much filled! But there's always room to squeeze in a little more, but now we're making a new archway for 2026.

Why the Peony?

The peony is Indiana's state wild flower. It blooms in late May/early June (just when our festival happens), and comes in shades of red, pink, and white. Here are some links for crochet and knitted versions. These are just suggestions that are quick to work up. You're also welcome to find or make your own pattern!
